Q: Do you handle disputes outside of your listed practice areas?
A: Frequently, yes. Just call, text, or email identifying any non-listed practice area and if we don't respond immediately, we will respond within 24 hours.
Q: What was your split of work between plaintiff's work and defense work before opening your ADR practice?
A: Nearly 50/50 in most areas, including construction and business disputes. More plaintiff heavy for real-estate non-disclosure and more slightly more defense heavy for §1983 actions and bodily injury.
Q: What's included in flat rate for mediation?
A: All administrative fees, pre-mediation telephone calls, all mediation preparation and reasonable follow-up within 3 months of the mediation date.
Q: Why do your rates vary depending upon the number of parties?
A: As the number of parties increases, so does the complexity of the mediation. Additional parties require more preparation, coordination, and facilitation. The flat fee accounts for this and includes all pre‑mediation work, the session itself, and follow‑up conversations designed to help move the case toward resolution, which requires a greater time commitment when there are more parties.
